Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Realty Assistant (Leasing Assistant). This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

The incumbent assists the Supervisory General Services Officer (S/GSO) in identifying and leasing affordable residential properties that conform to the housing policy and requirements. The incumbent advises the S/GSO on the status of arriving and departing personnel and post’s housing needs. The incumbent also advises on the negotiations of the price and terms of new leases. The incumbent explains the terms of the USG’s model lease to the landlords, maintains lease files and prepares housing reports. The incumbent coordinates residential make-ready work in coordination with the Warehouse, Facilities, Regional Security Office and landlords.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: At least three years of real estate, leasing, or Administrative Management experience is required.

Education Requirements: Completion of Higher Secondary (Grade 12) education is required.
Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities).

LANGUAGE: Fluent speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The ability to use various Windows based computer applications such as MS Word, MS Outlook, Power Point and Excel is required.

Qualifications:
