Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an electric vehicle service department and leading a team of skilled technicians, coordinate service appointments, manage parts inventory, and ensure that customers’ electric vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Service Department Operations:
  • Schedule and prioritize service appointments efficiently.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality electric vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain service facility equipment.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers to address inquiries, provide updates, and ensure exceptional service experiences.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage and optimize parts and supplies inventory to support service operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely parts deliveries.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and uphold quality control standards for electric vehicle servicing.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets company standards.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed in the service department.
  • Conduct safety training for staff as needed.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on department performance.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in automotive service management, with a focus on electric vehicles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle systems and components.
  • Familiarity with EV charging systems and infrastructure.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot EV-related issues.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance.
