Position Summary

Overseeing and managing the credit operations within a designated region. It involves assessing credit risk, ensuring compliance with lending policies, and driving the growth of the credit portfolio.

Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)

Job Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve loan origination targets within the region.
  • Evaluate loan applications, assess creditworthiness, and make lending decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of loan officers and provide coaching and training as needed.

Loan Recovery:

  • Develop and implement strategies for loan recovery and minimize non-performing assets.
  • Oversee the activities of recovery agents, ensuring they adhere to legal and ethical practices.
  • Manage the negotiation and settlement of delinquent accounts.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel for legal actions, when necessary.


  • Stay updated on relevant lending and recovery regulations and ensure the team’s compliance.
  • Implement and maintain internal policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure regulatory compliance and quality control.


  • Prepare and present regular reports on loan origination and recovery performance to senior management.
  • Analyze data and trends to make informed decisions and improve processes.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of loan officers and recovery agents.
  • Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in loan origination and recovery operations, with at least [X years] in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of lending regulations, risk management, and credit assessment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Professional certification in credit management or related field is a plus.
