The Role

The Finance Assistant- Transactions will be responsible for ensuring the financial resources, supply chains and asset management and IT are in accordance with rules and procedures and support projects and partners to deliver.

What we are looking for

The Finance Assistant – Transactions is responsible and accountable for smooth payments transactions, system uploads with scanned vouchers and regular financial physical documentation of vouchers with supporting documents, maintaining up to date financial filing system, provide regular day-to-day support to the Finance Team. In case of emergencies ready to respond to major humanitarian programme.

  • Graduate in Management, specializing in financial management preferable,
  • At least 1-year relevant experience in providing the full range of financial services to an international organization/or NGO,
  • Proven knowledge of computerized systems and demonstrable experience in working with computerized accounting packages and spreadsheets; high degree of computer literacy and word processing skills essential,
  • Responsible, Reliable, consistent and accuracy at speed,
  • Ability to prioritize own workload, can follow instructions under limited supervision,
  • Sound knowledge of related local laws and statutory requirements,
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences, and the ability to work in a wide variety,
  • Sensitivity to gender and diversity issues in work practices.
