Equagen Engineers PLLC is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for electrical engineering design across market sectors, including transmission (substations, OH/UG transmission systems), power distribution (substations, EV charging networks, microgrid design, etc.), and renewables (Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Wind).
- Be an integral part of the design team to support on all aspects of design for high voltage (4kV – 230kV) substations.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in substation electrical design and engineering for high voltage substations, transmission, power distribution, and renewables.
- Proven skills in AutoCAD or Revit are preferred.
- Proven experience in HV substation design is an advantage.
- Prior experience in power systems studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash analysis) using tools like ETAP, PSS/E, DigSilent, or similar are advantages.
- Knowledge of engineering standards including IEC, NEC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in the English language.
