Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning (HVAC) Maintenance Worker. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

The incumbent carries out maintenance and repair work on HVAC systems and ensures that all tasks are completed in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturers’ recommendations. The incumbent performs preventive maintenance by inspecting, adjusting, and troubleshooting HVAC systems and equipment to ensure reliable operation and uninterrupted air supply to critical facilities. The incumbent records and compiles operational data, completes, and maintains forms, logs, and reports.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial or industrial HVAC systems is required.
Education Requirements: Completion of secondary school is required and/or completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level technicians with specialization in the HVAC field is required.
Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities):
LANGUAGE: Limited speaking/reading/writing English is required. Good Working Knowledge speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Communication skills to answers queries from end-users is required. A flexible approach to work shifts and answer emergency calls at all hours is required. Valid Class A and B driving license is required.
