Sunshine Social Development Organization (SSDO), Kapilvastu is a non-profit making non-government organization. It is dedicated to work strategically to contribute to the overall development of disadvantaged groups with special focus on Youth, women, girl, and another marginalized and disadvantaged groups.

SSDO with the partnership of The Asia Foundation under the Civil Society and Media Activity supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is going to implement “Community Collaboration in School Education for Marginalized Communities project from January 2024 in Suddhodhan & Yashodhara rural municipality of Kapilvastu district. SSDO hereby invites applications from suitable and qualified Nepalese citizens for the following position.

1. Project Coordinator (PC)

No. of Vacancy: 1 person
Job Overview: S/he provides overall leadership and oversight of project implementation and quality delivery of results, ensuring donor compliance, monitoring, evaluation, and learning in close collaboration with senior management teams, funding agencies and technical teams. S/he will manage the program team and build their capacity for effective management of the project portfolio. S/he will develop and maintain effective and authentic collaboration to ensure effective delivery of our project strategy and maintain high standards and quality.

Academic qualification & experiences :

  • Bachelor degree with 3 years experiences in any development organization. (B. Ed & M.Ed. is preferred).
  • Experience in project operation, human resource mobilization & project management.
  • Lead the project at community and different stakeholders (boundary partner) level and lead community engagement for quality education.
  • Lead the project staffs and manage overall project management and administration of Community Collaboration in School Education for Marginalized Communities project.
  • Overall planning, project designing, implementation, reporting and monitoring of the project.
  • Strengthen coordination and rapport building skills with district level and rural municipality level government, partner, community and SSDO.
  • Sound knowledge and skills of strengthening capacity building of different stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Experience in quality education for Dalit, Muslim and Natuwa community, Child right & youth related project.
  • Having good knowledge of financial management system.
  • Knowledge and skills of working on community engagement for quality education, management and empowerment.
  • A good team player with learning attitude and able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and skills on child and youth management, rights and theory of change.
  • Good verbal and written effective communication skill in English, Nepali (Knowing Awadhi language will be an advantage).
  • Should have knowledge and skills of computer and MS Office tools.
  • Should have good knowledge and skill of report writing.
  • Motorcycle driving licence is a must.

2. Project/ Field Officer

No. of Vacancy: 2 person
I) Academic qualifications & experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or social science with 3 years experiences in any development organization in education sector.
  • Monitor the project interventions, data analysis and documents the leanings of project.
  • Have experience of child and youth led participatory monitoring.
  • Having knowledge and experience of data collection methods, analysis and findings.
  • Experience in education led project.
  • Sound communication with interpersonal skills.
  • Good experience on community engagement for quality education.
  • Good knowledge and experience of educational training & research.
  • Assist the project staffs in their capacity building on monitoring.
  • A good team player with learning attitude and able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Good coordination skills.
  • Sound knowledge and skills of computer and skill of MS Office tools is a must.
  • Good verbal and written communication skill in English and Nepali (Awadhi is also preferred).
  • Motorcycle driving licence is a must.

3. Admin and Finance Officer (AFO)

No. of Vacancy: 1 person
This position is responsible for the financial management, office administration and logistics management of the project.

Academic qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or financial management having minimum 2 years of work experience in a financial and administration management in I/NGO.
  • Manage the overall administration and finance of the project.
  • Knowledge and skills on warehouse management, stock book, and asset record.
  • Having good knowledge and skill of procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of Government of Nepal’s tax policies and relevant bylaws.
  • Experience in project budgeting, preparing, and generating project financial reports through financial software.
  • Knowledge of documenting project related materials, timely reporting to relevant line manager and archived for ease of access.
  • Prepare & review vouchers in financial software, obtain approval and process payments for all the financial transactions done at project.
  • Good command over MS Excel and be able to manage project finance.
  • Good skill in data management.
  • Knowledge and skills of accounting software.
  • Good knowledge on financial transactions, accounting, budgeting, bookkeeping, and preparing financial reports in given time.
  • Good verbal and written communication skill in English and Nepali (Awadhi is desirable).
