Save the Saptari (StS), a non-profitable social development & humanitarian organization of Nepal is announcing a vacancy for the “SAMUNNATI” program funded by Save the Children in Saptari District. Save the Saptari invites applications from the interested and eligible who are reliable, accountable, have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity and who value diversity for the following position.

Position: Enterprise Development Facilitator (EDF) – 1

Position Status: Full-time, Regular
Duty Station: Save the Saptari and assigned area
Reports to: Field Officer-Child Poverty-Save the Saptari of the Samunnati Program

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make community consultation and find out the potentialities of job opportunities.
  • Develop a business plan and Support trained Micro Enterprises (ME) for starting a business in local areas or market
  • Establish and create the environment for successfully run a new resource-based enterprises
  • Organize and provide of Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Training or Micro Enterprise Development Training
  • Assist entrepreneurs to access micro credits in coordination with local level Micro Financial Institutions (MFIs).
  • Provide regular counseling and support to entrepreneurs, farmers and graduate VTs
  • Facilitate for Business to Business (Linkages) linkages of MEs
  • Regular update the income tracking of exiting MEs
  • Provide entrepreneurship development training to the selected participants.
  • Facilitate to conduct skill development training to the participants on selected business/trade.
  • Facilitate to provide appropriate technology to the entrepreneurs.
  • Provide regular counseling and support to entrepreneurs in different aspects.
  • Lead Capacity Building Initiatives aimed at effective participation of FGs in local planning and budget allocation process.
  • Facilitate FGs to ensure their timely access to government’s rehabilitation package.

Requirements:

  • Candidate should complete level 2 or 3 skill test from National Skill Testing Board (NSTB) or 15-month certified Entrepreneurship Development Facilitator (EDF) from CTEVT
  • Minimum two years of working experience in entrepreneurship development with MED (Micro Enterprise Development) model in socially excluded community.
  • Have knowledge and experience on on-farm and off-farm enterprise development
  • Knowledge on project activities implementation, monitoring, reporting and documentation skills
  • Previous experience of community mobilization will be added advantage
  • Basic computer skills (MS word, Excel, Powerpoint) is must
  • Able to work independently under the pressure of the deadline
  • Good Communication and facilitation skills on Nepali and Maithili.
  • Knowledge of local context, culture and language will be an asset.
  • Ability to prepare reports and documents in English and Nepali and perform communication with visitors in good manner.
  • People having two wheeler driving license will be added advantage

Assignment: 25% Office based works including information updates, reporting and database management and 75% Field based work including assurance of program quality as per basis of set standards and field visit & supervision (may modify as upon program requirement).


Position: Health Supervisor (HS)– 1

Position Status: Full-time, Regular
Duty Station: Save the Saptari and assigned area
Reports to: Field Officer-SHN-Save the Saptari of the Samunnati Program

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement the project in line with the approved project with close support from Health & Nutrition team and ensure quality results.
  • Assist on timely planning, implementation, regular monitoring, evaluation and documentation /reporting of the project.
  • Liaise with government counter parts like Municipality, Schools and Health Facilities and ensure the good and functional coordination with local governments and other stakeholders to create enabling environment.
  • Support to improve SHNsituation and develop collaboration with local government to create synergies and deliver better results
  • Coordinate closely with other projects and team in the impact areas so as integrate and address the issues of SHN
  • Supervise the CMs, manage their performance and provide timely feedback in necessary.
  • Support on design, test and finalize health Facilities assessment tools in close consultation with FO-SHN and H&N team.
  • Support to conduct/facilitate need assessment process at health facilities level.
  • Support on the quality planning, implementation and monitoring of program in impact areas.
  • Support to statistical section for municipal level progress monitoring and trend analysis.
  • Support to Schools/HFs while implementing SHN/ASRH program.
  • Plan, conduct, follow up and monitor maternal and newborn health related training, orientation, meeting etc.

Requirements:

  • Candidate should complete intermediate in Nursing Health or related field.
  • At least 2 year in leading and managing SHN projects and programs will be given priority.
  • Higher degree of taking initiatives and has ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, able to work in short deadlines with intense pressure
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to prepare reports and documents in English and Nepali and perform communication with visitors in good manner
  • People having two-wheeler driving license will be added advantage
