Research Associate (Economics)
NDRI is an independent, non-profit institution dedicated to address the contemporary and emerging challenges through quality research for evidence based policy and programming. NDRI focuses on creating opportunities for research, dialogue and collaboration. NDRI has been able to strengthen linkage between the policy makers, academia, different national and international organizations and a pool of experts.
NDRI is looking for an eligible candidate for the position of Research Associate (Economics). The applicants are required to submit the application documents in-person at NDRI office or via email to career@ndri.org.np no later than 12 September 2023, Tuesday at 5:00 pm Nepal Standard Time.
Required Qualification and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Economics or related field. Applicants with PhD in Economics or related field may be considered for the position of Senior Research Associate
- Good background and interest in economic analysis
- Demonstrated skills and experience in using economic research and analysis tools (preferred)
- Proficiency in econometric analysis, using statistical software (such as R, Python, SPSS or Stata) for data analysis and modeling would be an advantage
- Profound knowledge/experience on research methodology, especially in economics.
- Experience in project development and execution would be an advantage.
- Pleasant personality and team worker with good command of both English and Nepali languages
