Social Worker in Birgunj, Live in role at the Child Helpline, Salary: 25,000 Rs – fixed
Our Sansar are looking for an experienced social worker to join our team at the Child Helpline in Birgunj. Social Worker will be responsible for daily care and counselling of the children, ensuring that they receive relevant education/activities, liaising with the children’s authorities and police, planning for the future of the children (i.e. planning relevant skills training sessions). The main aim of the role is to work closely with our other social workers and outreach staff to ensure we are helping as many children as possible and in the most efficient way.
The Child Helpline Social Worker will be working closely with the Outreach Officer so part of the time will be spent in villages locating children that need our assistance.
At least 2 years of experience working with children is a must, and an ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders and will have experience in counselling. Excellent spoken and written English ability and basic computer skills (excel, email, and ideally Google Drive) required. We are looking for honest, hard working person who will always put the best interest of the children first. The ideal candidate will be creative and able to work in an independent way, and also a very good team worker.

Salary – fixed at 25,000 Rs a month, accommodation, food and health insurance provided
