Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Corporate Title: Assistant General Manager
Summary: The role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Bank will be to oversee the strategic direction, planning, implementation, and management of all technology-related aspects of the Bank. The role will be pivotal in driving technological innovation, ensuring robust and secure IT infrastructure and delivering cutting-edge solutions to enhance our customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technology Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the bank’s overall business vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends to enhance the bank’s competitive advantage in the market.
  • Collaborate with senior management to prioritize technology initiatives that align with business goals and growth plans.

2. IT Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the bank’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services.
  • Ensure the bank’s IT systems are reliable, scalable, and secure, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to prevent and resolve any potential issues.

3. Information Security and Risk Management

  • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard the bank’s data, customer information, and digital assets.
  • Establish and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management team to identify and mitigate technology-related risks.

4. Digital Banking and Innovation

  • Lead the development and deployment of digital banking solutions to enhance customer experience and attract new clients.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the technology team by encouraging the exploration of new ideas and technologies that can drive the bank forward.

5. Software Development and Applications

  • Oversee the software development life cycle, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and partnerships to ensure quality service and value for technology investments.

6. Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide effective leadership to the technology team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members, encouraging continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate career growth for technology professionals.

7. Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, laws, and compliance standards applicable to the banking sector.
  • Ensure that all technology initiatives and operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidate who also has additional MBA degree shall be preferred.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 15 years) in technology leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in formulating technology strategies, infrastructure management, and software development.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management. Demonstrated experience and expertise in driving digital transformation and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Familiarity with relevant banking regulations and compliance standards.
