Mechanical Engineer
NIDISI NEPAL, we are in the implementation phase of the project. The banana fiber workshop, located in Susta, Nawalparasi is producing banana fiber as raw material , and the construction of the pad factory, located in Bharatpur, Chitwan, started. For this we are looking a dynamic and energetic Nepali Mechanical Engineer as a part of technical team.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in written and oral communication in English and Nepali.
- Strong technical understanding, with expertise in machine design being a plus.
- Good knowledge and practical experience in designing tools like 2D and 3D.
- Flexibility to travel extensively to locations such as Kathmandu, Bharatpur, and Nawalparasi.
- Strong analytical abilities, capacity assessment, and planning skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the feedback collection study on the menstrual pads. (designed of the study, way of collection, analyzing results, suggestion of improvement in the process, etc.)
- Actively participate in the installation of the machines in the pad factory, and the start of the production in the pad factory.
- Participation in the optimization of the fiber factory processes, as well as the pad factory processes.
- Working on Quality assurance of raw materials produced (“banana fibre”) and pad manufacturing.
- Trouble shooting in both factories.

- Starting date: 18/11/2080 to 15/07/2081
- Duration: 8 Months contract
- Approx. working hours: 40 hours a week
- Monthly Salary: 54,000 NPR
