CDC Doti is a District based local NGO working for the social and economic empowerment of people living in far west region of Nepal. The CDC established on 16/09/2049 B.S which is before about twenty-four years long. During this period CDC worked with different government and international non-government agencies in various sectors of social and economic development. More importantly, CDC support to the rural community groups and people on advocacy development in various sectors of local development including local level planning, monitoring and downward accountability to the government and non-government agencies. In this period CDC Doti has developed strong networking and professional relationship among various alliances, networks and structures in the district. CDC has working experience worked with Strengthening NGO Sector in Nepal (SNSN) from 2004 to 2008. This relationship has supported in raising the voices of beneficiaries in a stronger way through coordination and collaboration.CDC Doti is the Regional Coordinator of Children as Zone of Peace (CZOP) and has been supporting partners of different districts to implement SZOP campaign. It is also the member of National Education Campaign(NCE), NGO Federation, District Child Welfare Board(DCWB), District Early Childhood Development Coordination Committee, District Curriculum Evaluation Committee, District Level Human Rights Network, District Food Security Committee, District Social Security and Coordination Committee and It has long experience in social mobilization, education, livelihood, youth mobilization, child rights and governance, child protection, health, nutrition and sanitation partnering with various INGOs, bilateral agencies and the local government bodies and district line agencies.

Community Development Center (CDC), Doti is implementing Education, CESP Nepal DRR Project with the partnership of World Vision International Nepal in Aadrsha Rural Municipality of Doti West Cluster and Sayal Ruler Municipality, Purbichhauki Ruler Municipality and dipayal Silgadhi Municipality of Doti East Cluster. Now Community Development Center (CDC), Doti is seeking the following candidates for its Nepal Disaster Risk Reduction Project.
Position: DRR Officer
Number of Vacancies: 1
Job Location: Office Based Position with 40% field visit.
Bachelor degree in Disaster Risk Reduction/Management Environment Science/Social Science or relevant discipline with at least two years of experience on Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Response related projects.
• Support program team in planning and implementing of the DRR program
• Prepare and assist implement LDCRPs of the project areas
• Support to manage information and knowledge management systems to link national district, municipalities and community level initiatives on DRR
• Coordinate with local government and stakeholders for the program implementation
• Regularly coordinate and influence to Local Elected Representatives for DRR mainstreaming into development planning process;
• Facilitate training, workshop and orientation at district and local level;
• Ensure Planning, Monitoring and Reporting of the project is submitted on timely to Line Manager with high quality.
