Job Description
- Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, access points and VPN devices
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure network availability and reliability
- Configure multiple network connectivity for redundancy and failover, to improve network availability.
- Utilize network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds) to monitor network performance and uptime.
- Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to safeguard network infrastructure.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures to resolve problems promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation including network diagrams, configurations and inventory.
- Maintain documentation of incident reports and resolutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with the company’s IT security team to select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
- Configure virtualized network services, such as virtual routers and firewalls.
- Collaborate with vendors for support and timely resolution of technical issues.
- Stay updated with emerging networking, security technologies and best practices.
- Participate in training and certification programs related to Network, Security and SDN.
Other Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree (Any) with 2+ years relevant experience in Network administration
- Understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Wireless Networking, Network Security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Cisco, Huawei, Juniper Router & Switches
- Hands-on working experience on multi-vendor firewalls like Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco etc.
- Good experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Familiar with SDN technology preferably on the VMware NSX platform
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Candidates having industry certifications like CCNA, CCNP, VCP, NSE4, HCNA, JNCIA will get preference.
