Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Programme of Helvetas Nepal is supporting initiatives by local communities, organizations and Government of Nepal for water resources management, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) of Karnali State in Dailekh, Surkhet, Kalikot, Jajarkot districts and Sudur Pashchim State in Achham district
Helvetas Nepal invites applications from interested and committed Nepali citizen for the following position:

Duty Station: Helvetas Nepal Province Office, Surkhet
Operates and maintains the MIS system of the IWRM Programme and works in close collaboration with the programme management team.
Develops, operates and maintains the Programme database.
Works as information hub and provides data and information needed for the Programme planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes
Develops Information Technology (IT) based monitoring tools and support while conducting monitoring and follow up survey.
Role and Responsibilities
Compliance to policies, rules/regulations and guidelines
Adheres to relevant policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines of Helvetas Nepal (Personnel, Financial, Administrative policy manual, Security Response Guide, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Guide; Sexual Harassment & Mobbing Policy, Code of Conduct Against Corruption etc.) and other specific policies applicable to the IWRM Programme.
Planning and Monitoring
Assists the Monitoring and the KM Specialist to prepare phase plans, annual plans and Yearly Plan of Operation (YPO).
Supports to organize planning and review meetings; assists to monitor the programme outcomes and outputs.
Supports to develop monitoring plan and its effective implementation; Supports carry out monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities.
Develops monitoring tools and formats and orients the programme team, partner NGOs and collaborators on their proper use.
Operationalize the database management software and data collection formats as required by the donors.
Maintains effective flow of information among different sections within the Programme and other stakeholders.
Implementation and Technical Assistance
Operates the database system – collects, processes and analyzes the information and data for various purposes.
Compiles the quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress data and provides to the Programme management team; design suitable online survey tools as required.
Ensures safety and reliability of the information and data; provides technical inputs to design and revise the Programme management information system.
Supports in developing computer software / programmes for effective information management in IWRM Programme.
Supports the Programme staff in proper management of data and information in their respective sections.
Conducts MIS training for the field staff, representatives / staff of the partner organizations and the local governments in the working areas.
Knowledge Management and Acquisition
Assists for the effective knowledge management in the Programme; provides data, information and relevant evidence for preparation of knowledge products such as articles, papers, blogs case studies etc.
Uses and contributes to Helvetas Nepal knowledge sharing platform such as Pamoja and knowledge management for organization learning.
Assists to prepare semi-annual and annual reports.
Contributes to the acquisition process by providing relevant data and information.
Provides the Programme related information to concerned agencies, public and other stakeholders.
Provides the Programme staff with relevant data and info to prepare papers and presentations for various WASH related events and publications.
Supports document the Programme experiences, best practices, success stories, and lessons learned and their effective dissemination.
Coordinates and collaborates with the government and the nongovernmental organizations and collects and compiles WASH related data and information.
Other specific responsibilities as assigned
Professionally discharge assignments/ tasks dispensed by Monitoring & KM Specialist/ Team Leader.
Be proactive in brining innovations and take new initiatives into the Program.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer science or in related field with minimum of three years of working experience in relevant fields such as designing and deploying online database systems, information management, business analytics.
Demonstrated skills in operating computerized MIS – database and information management system
General knowledge in GIS based system
Experience in collecting and analyzing data using latest IT tools such as mobile based data collection technologies
Skills in designing MIS tools and development of MIS software using database software
Good understanding of project planning, M&E process and knowledge management tools and approaches
Experience in using internet-based platforms / online resources for sharing and dissemination of knowledge and learnings
Strong training and facilitation skills; team player and result oriented
Good interpersonal skills & flexibility; innovation and creativity
