LiScha Himalaya e.V, Nepal is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position.

Program Manager -1

Major Roles and Responsibility:

1) Program related responsibilities:

  • Ensure project cycle is followed in project.
  • Ensure baseline, mid and end term evaluation are done in the project
  • Review project and ensure project objectives are achieved effectively or not and document it and report to concerned supervisor.
  • Develop Project Outline (PO) and finalization of detail implementation plan (DIP).
  • Review Partners proposal/ provide feedback and do correction as per requirement.
  • Draft project documents and progress report to portray activities carried out are of quality and implemented on time as per project activities guideline.
  • Identify risks and challenges in the project implementation, management and provide solution to achieve project goal / results.
  • Identify the training needs/gap of the partner staff and provide/recommend training plans to develop their technical Monitor their progress through an annual capacity assessment and support to partners as per the annual development plan.
  • Conduct regular reviews of budgets and work plans to ensure compliance with donor specific requirements and address any changes to the original plan in time.

2) MEAL related responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of MEAL systems, procedures, and tools;
  • Advise LiScha Himalaya eV Country management team on MEAL solutions
  • Participate in programme design and proposal discussions, including theory of change development and log frame development;
  • Support programme and partner staff in planning for and executing MEAL activities, including data collection methodologies/tools, data management, analysis and use;
  • Support the implementation, dissemination and use of assessments and evaluations in addition to monitoring data in programme development, adjustment, and review;
  • Contribute to organizational learning through supporting specific analysis such as impact evaluations, lessons learned, and reporting;
  • Ensure capacity building and training of programme, support and partner staff on MEAL conceptual and technical areas;

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university in social science and at least five (5) years of related work experience.
  • Experience handling varieties of themes of work like Education, health, WASH, and agriculture
  • Should have sound knowledge of Nepal’s education system. Experience of working with local-level governmental bodies
  • Should have good computer literate.
  • Should be a team player and a leader.
  • Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, institutional development, capacity building, and training.

Travel Requirement: 30% of travel to field offices and project locations is also required.
Language Requirements: Excellent communication skill, both verbal & written, in Nepali & English.
