The incumbent audits invoices to ensure the conformance with terms of original purchase order, contracts, authorization and grants. The incumbent ensures that the invoices are correct, proper and legal for payment. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that all vouchers are properly completed, certified by Certifying Officer, and entered in the proper format to ensure prompt and accurate payment. The incumbent serves as a lead coordinator for sending voucher package to Post Support Unit (PSU) for payment processing and certification, and responds queries as a liaison between the U.S. Mission, Kathmandu and PSU.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: At least two years of progressively responsible work in voucher examining, book keeping or accounting/auditing experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Broad working knowledge of requirements of voucher examining, invoice auditing and procedures associated with voucher preparation.
Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or Accounting is required.

LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong mathematical skill is required. Ability to learn financial software packages is required. Ability to use computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Power Point is required.
