About the organization

Center for Research and Sustainable Development Nepal (CREASION) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 2005. Since it was founded, CREASION has been a leader in environmental protection in Nepal through recycling, research, emergency response, grassroots and circular economy related interventions. CREASION also houses innovative, impact-based projects as well as a learning center for youth. CREASION’s work is majorly centered around four thematic areas; Environment and Sustainability, Disaster Risk Reduction, Education and Advocacy, and Youth and Volunteerism.

Purpose of the Role

The front desk assistant will be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, answering all calls and directing as needed, scheduling meetings and appointments, and coordinating office activities. This role requires multitasking across a range of responsibilities, including performing administrative duties, reporting to the management and ensure the front desk is kept in order and manage and filter all communication from outside vendors to internal employees either by phone, email, or verbally.


  • Reporting to management and performing administrative duties.
  •  Keeping the reception area tidy and observing professional etiquette.
  • Welcoming and assisting visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answering telephone calls, as well as screening and forwarding calls.
  •  Scheduling and confirming appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Check, sort and forward emails.
  • Management of office and program logistics.
  • Handling basic inquiries and sorting mail.
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Keep updated records and files Monitor office expenses and costs
  • Take up other duties as assigned (travel arrangements, schedules etc.)
  •  Copying, scanning, and filing documents.
  • Performing other administrative tasks, if required.


  •  Preferably bachelor’s degree in business administration, business studies, social science or any other relevant field; additional qualifications will be a plus
  • Proven experience as a front desk representative, agent or relevant position
  •  Proficient in Nepali and English (oral and written)
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  •  Exceptional ability to create a welcoming environment.
  • Experience in answering and screening calls, as well as scheduling appointments.
  • Ability to observe office etiquette and maintain a professional appearance.
  •  Experience working with spreadsheets, and emails, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  •  Working knowledge of printers, copiers, and scanners.
  •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Formal qualification in office administration, secretarial work, or related training is an added bonus.
  • Preferably has two-wheeler license
