Finance Trainee

Number of positions required: 1 (one)
Duration: Minimum 3 months with possibility of extension
Location: Kathmandu

Purpose of the Job

The objective of hiring finance trainee is to help person to gain valuable experience through on-the- job training to develop his/her ability to work in roles or functions within or across the organization. Trainee will assist Finance team and will be mentored and coached by Finance Advisor and Finance and Admin Officer.

Detailed duties and responsibilities for the position

  • Review of expenditures, advance settlement documents submitted by employees/ consultants and enter in workday.
  • Prepare details of monthly TDS and submit online E-TDS on monthly basis.
  • Manage filing system for all financial and banking documents
  • Review financial documents submitted by partner NGOs and provide timely feedback to ensure the correctness of the report.
  • Support for admin associate and back up in the absence of admin associate.
  • Support in the logistics management for training, workshops, and monitoring visits for national and international events in coordination with admin associate.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the information and documentation.
  • Work closely with Finance and Subgrant officer.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned by the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualification and skill requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s in Business studies/Business administration/Finance or relevant discipline
  • Excellent Communication skill
  • Have knowledge in financial system
  • Willingness to develop career in financial management sector
  • Learning aptitude, and interest in financial analysis.
  • Ability and willingness to work in team, and willing to travel to project area (field)
