Helvetas Nepal invites applications from the competent and committed Nepali citizens for the following position:
Finance Manager
Duty station: Biratnagar with extensive field visits to the project areas
Qualification, Experience and Social Competence: Chartered Accountant; Minimum 7 years in medium to large organization, with experience in managing overall finance and accounting. Experience with the public financial management (PFM) system. Experience in international organization is an advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, monitoring and supervision of the overall financial system as well as financial closing and management of accounts
- Manage the grant to the Government of Nepal with the responsibility of accounting and reporting, follow the standard government cash-based accounting system established by Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO), including the operation of a project account, financial disbursement; familiar with the operation of Line Ministry Budget Information System (LMBIS)
- Track and follow-up of the project audit reports from the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) of each district and inform the donor in a timely manner
- Ensure an effective internal control systemDuration: Initial contract of three years with possibility of extension
