Deputy Manager (Senior Environmental Officer)
Tanahu Hydropower Limited (THL) is the executing agency (EA) for construction of Tanahu Hydropower Project funded by Nepal Government, Nepal Electricity Authority with loan support from Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Investment Bank (EIB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
THL is responsible for implementing environmental and social safeguard plans of the project. For this, it has established Environmental and Social Management Unit (ESMU) to implement various Environmental Management Plans (EMPs). This program is supported by Environmental and Social Monitoring Service Provider (ESMSP) — consultant for preparation and implementation of the various EMPs.
THL intends to recruit one senior environmental expert to work under ESMU. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the relevant posts along with citizenship certificate, CV, other relevant academic and experience certificates attested by own to the company address within 15 days from the first date of publication of the notice.

Salary and Other Benefit:
Salary and other benefits will be as per the company rules and regulation. Selected candidates will be assigned 1-year contract with possibility of extension based on his/her performance.

Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated based on the candidate’s qualification and experience as per the company rules and regulation and will be interviewed for the final selection.

Education and Qualification: Master degree in environment, forestry, biology, botany, zoology or related field from recognized university. She/he shall preferably have at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in officer level in relevant field in governmental or any national or international organization. Working Experience in donor safeguard policy of ADB, EIB, World Bank would be an additional advantage.
