About the organization
Center for Research and Sustainable Development Nepal (CREASION) is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 2005. Since it was founded, CREASION has been a leader in environmental protection in Nepal through recycling, research, emergency response, grassroots and circular economy-related interventions. CREASION also houses innovative, impact-based projects as well as a learning center for youth. CREASION’s work is majorly centered around four thematic areas; Environment and Sustainability, Disaster Risk Reduction, Education and Advocacy, and Youth and Volunteerism.
Applicant is responsible for assistance in activity implementation for the program ideated and developed by the team and documentation and reporting under the direction of the Program Officer. S/he shall also be responsible for building relationships with strategic partners, sharing program impact and lessons, and policy analysis and development relating youth, women and environment advocacy and campaign as well as social media handling.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in research and identification of potential grant funders and draft project proposals including, concept notes and financial reports
- Assist in the implementation of the existing as well as future programs and activities through a hands-on approach
- Assist the Supervisor in coordination across departments and assist in a wide range of strategic program development and communications initiative.
- Identify needs and gaps in our content/programs and recommend new topics
- Assist the Supervisor in interacting frequently with other staffs, interns and volunteers. Learn to maintain professional and cordial relationship with colleagues/clients inside and outside the office premises
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Other Specification:
- Graduate of Environment Science, Development Studies, Social Science, Business or other relevant fields
- Excellent fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali language
- Proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
- Familiar with the development policies and practices of Nepal
- Excellent research, writing and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and maintain donor relationships and strong coordination with various other stakeholders
- Well- versed in communications and social media handling
- A good team player but a self-starter
