Soil Test (P.) Ltd., an ISO 9001:2015 certified pioneering Engineering & Management Consultancy Firm established in the year 1979 with 45 years’ legacy of providing complete range of dedicated and reliable engineering & allied management services in the field of Buildings, Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management. We also undertake laboratory tests on foundation soils and construction materials, chemical analysis of soils, water, rocks, minerals etc. for industrial, commercial or agricultural purposes for varied Engineering Projects.
We are looking for highly enthusiastic, professionally experienced, ethical, competitive and dedicated candidates for the following positions:
1. Assistant Resident Engineer – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. Preferably Post-graduate Degree in related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience out of which at least 3 years in Road Projects
- 4 Years in Road Works
- Minimum 2 Years as Assistant Resident Engineer/ or equivalent supervisory position in Road Construction Projects. Experience in FIDIC forms of contract and supervising road construction in hilly areas will be an asset
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
2. Environmental Safeguard Associates – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years’ work experience in Environmental Engineering field or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering with 2 year’s work experience in Environmental Engineering field or Master Degree in Environmental Engineering with 1 year of work experience in Environmental Engineering field
- Minimum Specific relevant experience in Environmental Engineering mainly implementation of IEEs for the projects being implemented
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
3. GESI & Social Safeguards Associates – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Social Science or any other relevant field with at least 2 years work experience in resettlement work in infrastructure project implementation
- Specific relevant experience in resettlement mainly preparation / conduction of socio-economic profile of the sub-project area, socio-economic and census study of the project affected population, land acquisition, resettlement and compensation including income restoration of the affected population
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages.
4. Quantity Surveyors – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferable
- Minimum 8 years’ experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as Quantity Surveyor or equivalent posts in similar projects
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
5. Supervision Sub Engineers – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferable
- Minimum 8 years’ experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in supervision and surveying experience of road construction works
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
6. Laboratory Technicians – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferable
- Minimum 6 years’ experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in testing of materials, concrete and field density etc.
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
7. Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Technicians – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Computer Engineering or related field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in operation of various Civil Engineering field related Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Software specially in Road Projects
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
8. Social Mobilizers – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Diploma in Social Science / Sociology or related field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position in Road Projects
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
9. Bio-Engineering Technicians – Site based positions
Qualification & Work Experiences:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Computer Engineering or related field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in design and implementation of Bio-engineering works
- Experience in working with international organizations/agencies is preferable
- Professional fluency of communication both written & verbal in English and Nepali languages
Salary & Perks: Salary & perks shall not be constraint for the right candidates depending on exact professional skills and work experiences of candidates as mentioned above.
