SO Nepal is a non-profit nongovernmental organisation working in Nepal for the protection of vulnerable children, providing temporary shelter and reintegrating them with family/community where possible. SO Nepal requires a Female Program Manager to be recruited urgently for the overall management of its projects: transit home/childcare home located in Shivapuri, Nuwakot, and Reintegration programs across different places in Nepal

Program Manager (1), full-time, only female

  • The incumbent is responsible for the overall supervision and management of SO Nepal’s projects: transit home/childcare home, Reintegration program and other education scholarship programs
  • Be responsible for planning, budgeting and monitoring
  • Conduct home visits, meet children/parents and provide necessary guidance /support
  • Conduct school visits, meet teachers, and assess the educational performance of children
  • Facilitate orientation/training for children, staff, and parents
  • Ensure SO Nepal fulfils the legal procedure/ compliance as per the organisation’s rules and GoN standards
  • Supervision and guidance to live-in staff of childcare home/transit home
  • Coordination with governments /stakeholders/donor
  • Monthly and other period reporting
  • Documentation and developing polices, guidelines for the organisation
  • Career guidance for children
  • Livelihood guidance and empowerment to family/parents
  • Any other relevant work assigned by the organisation.

Eligibility

  • Completion of a minimum Bachelor Degree(Master’s Degree preferred)in Social Science
  • Age above 30 years
  • Two-wheeler driving licence
  • 5+ years relevant experience (childcare home/transit home, child protection, etc.)
  • Advanced English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Advance computer literacy(Ms word, Excel, Power Points, email and internet)
  • Ready to work off-hours and during weekends
  • Training facilitation skills
  • Ability to travel in remote areas
  • Work independently and with little supervision
  • Knowledge of the livelihood program
  • Abided by the child protection policy
  • Candidates having a postgraduate/master’s degree in psychosocial counselling are strongly encouraged to apply
