M&E Officer

Location: Kathmandu office with frequent field visits

Expected Start Date: 20 May, 2025

Duration of the Contract: Three Year, with possibility of extension

Probation Period: 6 months

Salary: A competitive NGO salary will be offered

The position implements, and manages M&E systems to assess the effectiveness and impact of programs, projects, or interventions. They collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making, improve program outcomes, and ensure accountability. This position is accountable to prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the project cycle.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project design and leadership, with experience living and working with local communities.
  • Bachelor degree in Social science, public health and other equivalent genres.
  • Computer skills at least for office package and Nepali typing.

Job Description:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop M&E frameworks, tools, and systems to track progress and measure impact.
  • Data Collection and Management: Collect, compile, analyze, and manage data from various sources.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Track program activities, progress, and outcomes against project indicators.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate M&E findings to donors and stakeholders.
  • Learning and Improvement: Analyze data to identify lessons learned, recommend improvements, and inform future programming.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to program staff on M&E related matters.

  • Data Management Skills: Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and managing data using various tools.

Finance Officer

Location: Kathmandu office with frequent field visits

This position supports the finance team by managing daily financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with reporting and budgeting. This role involves tasks like processing invoices, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and maintaining records, often working with accounting software.

Required Qualification:

  • Minimum of +2 education (Account) with 5 years of relevant work experience (preferable Bachelor).
  • Computer skills at least in office package and typing

Job Description

  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, and managing invoices.
  • Data Entry and Processing: Entering financial data, processing invoices and payments, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Supporting the budgeting process and providing assistance with financial forecasting.
  • Accounting Software: Utilizing and maintaining various accounting software programs.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant financial regulations and procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to the finance team, such as filing documents, organizing meetings, and managing communications.

Required Skills:

  • Bookkeeping: Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Data Entry and Accuracy: Ability to accurately enter and process financial data.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data and identify potential issues.
