Job Summary:
The Head of Finance & Accounts will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all financial activities, including planning, budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic thinking, excellent management skills, and in-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Finance & Accounts department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
•  Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in compliance with relevant standards.
•  Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
•  Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
•  Manage cash flow, funding strategies, and working capital to ensure optimal financial health.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management on cost-saving measures, revenue growth, and investment opportunities.
• Supervise the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
•  Lead audits, internal control procedures, and risk management initiatives.
•  Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Manage the finance and accounting team, providing mentorship and development opportunities.

Job Specifications:

• A Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
•  At least 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in Financial Institutions.
•  In-depth knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and accounting systems.
•  Experience in the hire purchase, financial services, or lending industry is a plus.
•  Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in Nepal.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
