Arise and Shine is an initiative to address the prevailing spiritual, social, and economic needs among Nepali youth within the Lalitpur district of Kathmandu Valley. ANS responds to the problems of the prevailing negative environment of bullying, unhealthy relationships, substance abuse, petty crimes, disinterest in school studies, to name a few, of the young people. ANS addresses these problems of young people by operating a Youth Centre that is safe, loving, and informal where they wish to come regularly to spend their free times by playing games, music, meeting friends, reading books etc. ANS also engages young people in activities that develop their skills that shapes and empowers them for their better career opportunities.
Purpose:
A receptionist is a professional who manages an organization’s front desk and performs duties such as greeting visitors, receiving and directing youths, making calls, supporting logistics and scheduling appointments in cooperation with the ANS staff.
Receptionist cum. Logistics Assistant
Reports to: Program Officer
Location: Bhainsepati, Shanti Marg
Commitment: Full time (9 AM to 6 PM)
Coordination: Cooperation with Admin Staff and Program staff

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome all visitors warmly, provide information about center activities, and guide them to appropriate resources or staff.
- Handling and making calls; in-house, incoming and outgoing during office hours.
- Flow of information for internal and external.
- Assisting in the regular program administration for documentation and filing both hard and soft copy/ (Data entry). (ANS YC youth agreement and life skills registration forms)
- Following up all ANS programs regularly.
- Provide logistical support during events, workshops, and community gatherings hosted by the center.
- Handle cash box
- Maintain a record for Staff Lunch.
- Follow up for vocational classes.
- Vocational attendance sheet of trainer and trainee.
- Collection of documents for trainer/vendor payment and timely reminder to finance.
- Manage office supplies/assets.
- Prepare vendor list and update it.
- Prepare beneficiaries telephone and contact list
- Record and report in-house policies.
- Managing futsal booking.
- Prepare receipt for all income/registration and classes.
- Maintaining key box, first aid, locker, visitor logbook, staff logbook, profile for first comer, etc.
- Open/Closing all the doors and windows inside ANS premises before leaving the officeServing a glass of drink for guests in the absence of the Janitor
- Reporting issues or challenges found during office hours to the authorized person.
- All the collection cash from the receipt should be submitted weekly to the Admin & finance.
- Participate in team building activities
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year experience in the field
- +2 cleared in the field of social development
- Communication skills and language proficiency both in English and Nepali
- Proficient in Ms. excel, word, and other office packages
- Knowledge of and experience with customer dealing and handling conflicts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly preferred IS personality (Influence and Steadiness – DISC personality)
