Samagra Jan – Utthan Kendra (SAMAGRA) is an autonomous organization working continuously on Human rights, Peace building, Against of GBV, Community Development, Community Mediation, Media Advocacy, Youth and Women empowerment sector since 2002 in Siraha and other districts of province no. 2
SAMAGRA has going to implementing of SAHAJ Project with consortium lead partner ‘VSO’. SAHAJ is a 25 month project funded through DFID’s Integrated Programme to Strengthen Security and Justice (IPSSJ) in Nepal. SAHAJ Project will be implemented in Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi and Bara districts in province no. 2. We seek to recruit the following various positions under SAHAJ Project in Samagra Jan-Uthhan Kendra, Lahan, Siraha.
Position: Livelihood Advisor
Number of Vacancies: 1
Duty Station: Lahan, Siraha
Provide technical inputs in developing business plan and support in coordinating market survey analysis. Support families in developing skills business plan and provide business literacy like record keeping. Ensure the livelihood activities and implemented according to business plan developed under the project and update market information. Support families in building linkage with opportunities available at local level and get benefitted from local government economic empowerment interventions and Support in expanding marketing and networking as required in implementing business plan. Encourage and provide technical advice to the families to register their income generating activities in Small and Cottage Industries and to build effective working relationship within family centric local volunteer facilitators, GBV Champions and program officer.
Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:
Bachelor’s degree in management (BBS/BBM), preference will be given in MBS/MBA with at least 3 years’ Experience of planning and managing projects in livelihoods, micro-enterprises/skill/Business development with multiple stakeholders, delivering expected benefits in challenging contexts. Experience of line management of project team members.
