Environment and Public Health Organization Established in 1990, ENPHO is a service-oriented, scientific, national non-governmental organization that envisages contributing to sustainable community development by combining research and action through integrated programs in the fields of environment and public health. ENPHO runs a government accredited laboratory and promotes eco-friendly technologies with the aim of establishing eco-societies. ENPHO develops and promotes integrated community based approaches for safe water, sustainable sanitation, solid waste management, hygiene behavior and improving indoor air quality monitoring to create healthy societies. Furthermore, knowledge-based education and advocacy campaigns help on achieving ENPHO’s mission.
Position: Executive Director

Job Location: Kathmandu
ENPHO’s ED will have the necessary technical, management and leadership skills to manage and lead ENPHO. The ED will work under the guidance of the ENPHO Board and will be fully responsible for the day-to-day management of ENPHO to ensure it remains a professional and result-oriented institution.
Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Science, Management, Natural Resource Management, Engineering, Public Health or equivalent in related field.
Work Experience: Minimum 7 years with Master’s Degree or 5 years with PhD degree of relevant experience in senior management positions. Relevant experience in working in similar organizations will be advantageous.
Other skills: Proven leadership qualities, management skills, communication skills, and fund raising experience, use of computers and commonly used software applications.

1. Submission Procedure for Application
Candidates applying for the position of the Executive Director of ENPHO will need to submit the following:
• Job application letter. Please include expected monthly gross salary.
• An updated Curriculum Vitae (not exceeding 5 pages) with names and contact details of 3 referees.
• A write-up on “Current priorities in WASH sector and how ENPHO can address these priorities in a sustainable manner” (not exceeding 1000 words).
2. Evaluation process
An Evaluation Committee formed by the ENPHO Board will evaluate the applications based on the submitted CV and quality of the write-up. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview and to a 10-minute presentation to ENPHO staff on a pre-determined topic. A short essay may be requested as part of the interview.
The ENPHO Board will make the final decision based on the recommendations of the Evaluation Committee.
