M&E Intern

Department: MEAL

Reports to: M&E Associate

Location: Kathmandu, United World Schools Office

Duration: Six-Month fixed contract

Work Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week

Role Summary

The M&E Intern will learn about the fundamentals of the monitoring and evaluation system used by the organisation while enhancing their data collection, accumulation, analysis, visualisation, and reporting abilities.

Major Responsibilities

  • Compile, Review and enter data sets to excel and mobile Customer Relationship Management(CRM) and field service app
  • The intern will assist the program staff in creating plans for monitoring tools.
  • Conduct data analysis as needed for project reports.
  • Supports M&E Officer in development and implementation of M&E systems and policies.
  • Participate in data management, such as data cleaning, creation of databases, etc.
  • Support in the development of data visualisations for program management and communications materials, such as graphs, charts, and maps.

Qualification and Experience

  • Experience in or desire to learn M & E processes.
  • Bachelor degree/currently pursuing bachelors degree in any relevant field, preference will be students with a management background.
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages is required.
  • Statistical knowledge preferred.
  • Report writing skills preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Familiarity with Nepal education system, especially rural education is preferred.
  • Commencement of Employment

    The Internship shall commence for the period of 6 months with the possibility of extension subjected to performance evaluation.
