Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as a Cook at an official residence of a high – ranking foreign diplomat. The incumbent is responsible for preparing daily meals at the residence for the diplomat’s family as well as for formal dinners and large cocktail receptions; proposing and executing menus for official functions; keeping records of menus; adding new recipes to the residence files and maintaining kitchen precincts. The incumbent is also responsible for coordinating supply needs; shopping for supplies, organizing and cleaning the kitchen, setting up and cleaning for the events; and maintaining high standards of food cleanliness.

Qualification Required:

1. Completion of Secondary School is required.

2. A minimum of two years of experience as a cook at a residence of an expatriate or at a reputable hotel is required.

3. Good working knowledge in speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluency in speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.

4. Good communication and customer service skills are required. Good knowledge of recipes for preparing a variety of cuisine is required. Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
