Program Supervisor (Education) : – (1) One

Location:- Bardibas/Gaushala Municipality

The position is responsible for providing technical back stopping support to the schools & ECCD centers and also responsible to build capacity of school & ECCD concern stakeholders for operate the school & ECCD with quality results. The Program Supervisor is responsible for overall technical support to Basic Education- BE theme. Schools will in target areas for effective, efficient and qualitative implementation. In overall, S/he will play a catalytic role between Sponsorship program, CFWA.

Key Responsibilities:

Support in classroom activities;

  • Educational workshop facilitation and support to develop learning materials and its use.
  • Technical support visit in the schools
  • Demonstrate model session during visit
  • Support to manage learning environment properly and demo session for using of learning methods.
  • Ensure best utilization of supported materials in the schools.
  • On the spot coaching to ECCD facilitators & class teachers in properly use and display of learning materials
  • Ensure and support to follow daily schedule to the ECCD facilitators & class teachers.
  • Visit at least 10 schools with fulltime observation in monthly basis
  • Organize small meeting with surrounding teachers and conduct demo session.

Community Mobilization:

  • Visit community and conduct meeting (formal/informal) with parents.
  • Demonstrate model session of educational sessions
  • Technical support visit for quality implementation of different sessions.
  • Share ideas to teachers to increase parents in formal/informal sessions and visit schools.
  • Take lead and mobilize community, school family & students for quality education & education related campaigns.
  • Capacity Building:
  • Organize and facilitate training to teachers
  • Develop capacity building plan for ECCD facilitators, teachers, Parents and management committee
  • Support to ECDD facilitators, teachers and management committee in data keeping and ensure the data update,
  • Prepare monthly work plan jointly with Community Mobilizers and approved by line manager.

Others:

  • Support to collect and document good practices related with ECCD/BE programs.
  • Coordinate with other core program and support if require.
  • Contribute to make good working environment among team (team work)
  • Work with 70 percentage in field and 30 percentage in office.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field.

Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years of working experience in Education projects. Preferred experience in ECCD.
  • Maintain effective working relationship within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong training, coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills.
  • Strong community mobilization skills.
  • Proven experience in the local resource mobilization and partnership at the local level.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work independently and under strict deadline.

Sponsorship Program Assistant(SPA) : – (1) One

Location:– Bardibas/Gaushala Municipality

ROLE PURPOSE
: Sponsorship Program Assistant is responsible for accomplishing the overall activities (NADC, MYEC, PAL, CI, 30 days letter and etc) of the sponsorship operation adhering to sponsorship policy and procedure within the given time frame under the supervision of Sponsorship Officer and coordinate with program staffs to ensure the significant benefit to 100% sponsored children.

The position holder will also be accountable and responsible for field-based program implementation and will spend 70% of his/her time in field program implementation and 30% time in district/local level coordination, networking, reporting, and recording.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Program Planning and Tracking

  • Prepare annual target and work accordingly.
  • Track plan vs achievement and prepare plan for overcome.

Quality Program Implementation

  • Develop monthly and quarterly plan expecting the upcoming targets of sponsorship operation.
  • Collect case histories and photography of children along with proper parental consents within the given deadline and in an efficient manner.
  • Distribute the identity cards to all newly assigned children and collect their first communication within the time line as per sponsorship policies and procedures.
  • Distribute termination notice to child/family and make the community and child’s parent clear about the termination process.
  • Conduct Mid-Year Eligibility Check (MYEC) to ensure each and every child’s eligibility and assist to SPO to compile the report in time line.
  • Distribute the letters, cards, gift parcels and magazines to concern sponsored children and collect replies from children in time line.
  • Encourage sponsored children to write letters on their own language/words and monitor their letters for inappropriate reference, e.g., requests demanding gifts; sexual, religious or political references.
  • At least 3 visits to each sponsored child in a year.
  • Keep proper tracking of each sponsored child within the impact area and if any child is found migrated, married, death, not receiving benefits from CFWA supported program, parents giving no longer consent to participate in sponsorship, such information of child is forwarded to SC/CO, Katmandu through SPO.
  • Update the proper documentation of all information like New Assignment, Child Ineligibility, Termination, MYEC, and AFU regarding sponsored children.
  • Assist to SPO and Program Coordinator in phase-in and phase-out plan and as when required.
  • Support to program staff for distributing essential materials to sponsored children.
    Coordinate with Community Mobilizers and volunteers at field level to ensure high level of synergy in overall sponsorship program management.
  • At least 800 eligible or sponsored children will be visited in annual basis.
  • Assist to SPO/ASPO to form the child advisory council (CAC) in CFWA program area.

Project Reporting

  • Participate in semi-annual and annual result reviews, share challenges and opportunities, and develop action plan against challenges to achieve targeted results as planned in indicator performance tracking tool.

Project Compliance

  • Maintain donor compliance, guidelines and procedures while implementing sponsorship operation.
  • Comply with all relevant CFWA policies and procedures with respect to administrative and financial policy, child safeguarding, zero tolerance, child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.

Coordination, Collaboration, and networking

  • Maintain close relation with other themes and sectors for effective implementation of program.

Representation

  • Represent in meetings, seminars, training, workshop, and interaction programs at local level governments as and when required.

Occasional Duties/Humanitarian

Perform dual roles in development and humanitarian during emergencies.

  • +2 degree (intermediate) in Education or relevant field.

Field Officer- Health: – (1) One

ROLE PURPOSE: The position holder will have overall responsibilities of program management-planning, budgeting, forecasting, budget tracking, project tracking, implementation, monitoring/supervision, technical backstopping, data/information management, and reporting of sponsorship program under health theme. S/he will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, capacity building of his/her own partner staffs, HFI staffs, FCHVs around health; and will also provide guidance and supervision supports to community mobilizers, health staffs, teachers and community volunteers who facilitate health interventions in communities and schools. The position holder will have responsibilities to conduct trainings, assessments, research, survey, generate lesson learned, document best practices, and success stories from field and share with project/program team, donor agency and stakeholders. S/he will also be responsible to support Program Coordinator and field officers during need and requirements of program that best fit for the best interest of children.

  • Overall planning, budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of health theme under sponsorship program.

  • Develop health procurement plan, media and communication plan, and sponsorship annual plan as and when required by funding partner.

  • Ensure over/under expenditure, any deviation in project tracking provide justification against reasons for deviation of health theme.

Quality Program Implementation

  • Overall implementation of health program as per sponsorship annual plan (SAP) and detail implementation plan (DIP).
  • Facilitate health related workshop, training, meeting, orientation and seminars at relevant places and communities.
  • Ensure all health activities are implemented as per standard quality benchmarks, follow implementation procedures, approaches and guidelines as agreed in donor log/result framework.
  • Plan and ensure the timely procurement of health-related materials for timely delivery of interventions in project/program sites.
  • Ensure timely delivery of health goods and services to schools and communities who ultimately benefit from program interventions.

Coaching, Mentoring and Supervision

  • Orient/train field officers, community mobilizers, volunteers, and health related stakeholders for effective implementation of health interventions in HFI, PHC/ ORC, school and communities.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to field staffs for timely and effective execution of program implementation at field/sites.
  • Provide on the spot support, capacity strengthening and supervision support during health program implementation at project sites.
  • Develop monthly work breakdown plan and support field staffs to develop their own plan to execute health program in field.
  • Track, trace, mobilize and ensure the timely implementation of the health program activities in assigned location/sites in accordance developed work plan.

Monitoring and Evaluation, Data management, Online information system management

  • Conduct regular quality monitoring visits against quality benchmarks and report to the line manager on monthly basis.
  • Conduct joint monitoring, technical monitoring, output monitoring, whole observation, distribution monitoring, follow up monitoring and supportive supervision monitoring visits for effective and efficient delivery of health program at field.
  • Ensure that the complaint and feedback mechanisms are functional in HFI, school, communities and in program area/Sites.
  • Conduct, facilitate and support in any kind of survey, assessment, research, and mapping related to health.
  • Ensure timely collection of data, entry in online/offline database, coding, cleaning, editing and analysis for generating health program.
  • Enter baseline, plan, and achievement of health program in online program management system on monthly basis and ensure that the OPMIS system is functional to generate health reports for reporting and recording.
  • Document good practices, best practices, lesson learned, and success stories related to sponsorship program.
  • Assist field staffs and Program Coordinator in tools, template and guidance development for effective management and implementation of sponsorship program at project sites/communities.
  • Ensure that the data submitted by field staffs, Youth Volunteers are valid, reliable, formatted, segregated, correct and timely for further processing and reporting.
  • Review and check data collected and submitted by Community Mobilizers, ensure consistency and processing for further reporting.
  • Maintain monitoring log sheet, issues log, health database, case studies and other relevant documents for program visibility, learning, sharing and course correction.

ROLE PURPOSE: The position holder will have overall responsibilities for program management-planning, budgeting, forecasting, budget tracking, project tracking, implementation, monitoring/supervision, technical backstopping, data/information management, and reporting of sponsorship program under child protection, Child Right Governance and community mobilization sub-theme. The position holder will have responsibilities to conduct training, assessments, data collection, and surveys, generate lessons learned, document best practices, and success stories from the field, and share with the project/program team, donor agency, and stakeholders. S/he will also be responsible to support the Program Coordinator and field officers during the needs and requirements of the program that best fit the best interest of children.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: The position holder will have direct contact with children and/or young people frequently in their day-to-day work. S/he will have to abide by child safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) policy including CFWA code of conduct. S/he will have to maintain dual adult rules while visiting/meeting children.
