Communications Officer
Location: Kathmandu

Salary: Nrs.50,000- 70,000
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a sound communication strategy to enhance CREASION’s profile
- Provide day-to-day maintenance and influencer engagement for different social media handles of CREASION
- Produce quality communications products, ie, video, photo, text stories, press releases, etc., and disseminate them through appropriate communication channels, ie, www.creaasion.org, national/regional social media, and media outlets
- To maintain the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, and develop, and update website content
- Support partnerships, including assisting in the development and quality assurance of funding proposals, keeping partners informed of our activities and maintaining good relationships with government, donors, NGOs, and among other stakeholders
- Provide communications support to different thematic units in writing, editing, and finalizing reports with different target audience in mind
- Work with other program colleagues to ensure communications efforts are coordinated and coherent across different projects of CREASION
- In consultation and in close coordination with CREASION program staffs, initiate and develop merchandize like caps, t-shirts, jackets and other required materials.
OTHER SPECIFICATION
- Three years of postgraduate professional experience in communications, partnerships, information management, or related fields
- Experience in using a wide range of communication platforms including TV, radio, print, social media, etc., for the achievement of a clear objective
- Experience in different types of writing – journalism, reports, feature stories, etc.
- Experience in media engagement and managing social media
- Experience in brand-building, advocacy, and influencer engagement
Education:
- Advanced University degree in Communications, Political Science, Information Management, or other related fields
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing skills.
- Ability to identify good stories and translate them into engaging products while identifying external resources and leveraging effectively
- Strong designing and social media skills
Language
- Fluency in English and Nepali in both oral and written communication
