Chief Operations Manager

We’re looking for an exceptional Chief Operations Manager to help deliver operational excellence to Bookmundi.com, one of the world’s largest tour booking platforms. As Chief Operations Manager in Bookmundi Nepal, you will be part of the executive team and you will have different line managers reporting to you.

Your Mission

Responsibilities:

1. Overall operationally responsible

  • Manage the operational team consisting of the Customer Service Manager; Tour Connectivity Manager; HR; as well as the Operations and Customized Tours Manager
  • Hire and recruit people for the operational team via help from our HR Recruitment Manager.
  • Responsible for all operational processes and procedures as well as bridging any operational issues with process-driven, customer-friendly solutions.

2. Take our customer-service level to new heights via our CS Manager

Tasks/responsibilities will inter alia revolve around:

  • Help manage the Customer Service (CS) Team via the Customer Service Manager
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Critical Success Factors (CSFs)
  • Help establish a process driven CS organisation, where back-ups, procedures etc. is always available.
  • Continuously improve our customer service deliveries and establish Bookmundi as a customer-centric organization. The customer needs to be at the heart of everything we do.

3. Oversee our Tour Intake via management of our Tour Connectivity Manager

Tasks/responsibilities will inter alia revolve around:

-Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Critical Success Factors (CSFs)
-Manage/drive the performance of the Tour Connectivity manager who among others is responsible for:

  • Continuous intake of new, qualified tour operators via XML/APIs.
  • Overall responsible for making sure that new and existing API tours’ tour information is always fully up to date, and that their products are optimized for sales, at all times.
  • Ensure that our API tours launch flow is perfect.
  • Help build campaigns around key API companies, including a tour campaign, to boost their sales. Optimize API processes where possible.
  • Help the Tour Connectivity Manager come up with solid API system solutions as well as operational processes around the APIs.

4. Manage and lead the following business segments:

  • HR
  • Customized Trips Segment. P&L is responsible together with the Customized Trip Manager, including establishing KPIs, baseline, and CSF metrics, as well as continuously improving and refining our customized trip segment, globally.

5. Lead operational adhoc projects

Tasks/responsibilities could relate to:

  • Operational business development, e.g. offering our customers with flights across the globe – establish the supplier relations and operating procedures.
  • Open a new customer service team abroad, how do we do it?
  • Implement new operational projects on a business-need basis.

Requirements

Required Specifications

  • Master’s Degree in Management or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience working with e-commerce
