Job Title: Digital Forensics Specialist
Softwarica College of IT & E-commerce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forensics Specialist to join our esteemed faculty team. As a Digital Forensics Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert knowledge and guidance in the field of digital forensics to our students. This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of digital forensics professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on digital forensics.
- Enhance the curriculum with international case studies and real-world scenarios in the digital forensics curriculum.
- Possess and demonstrate expertise in various digital forensics areas including tools, techniques, and software.
- Oversee and provide hands-on guidance to students in practical lab sessions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students in research projects and career development.
- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students understanding and knowledge of digital forensics.
- Stay updated through continuous learning and professional development.
Skill Required:
- Proficiency in industry-standard digital forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Cellebrite, Volatility, Wireshark, X-Ways).
- In-depth knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux, including file systems and registry structures.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network analysis tools.
- Ability to analyze and dissect malicious software, including reverse engineering and behavior analysis.
- Expertise in extracting and analyzing data from iOS and Android devices.
- Knowledge of memory forensics techniques and data recovery methods.
- Understanding of encryption algorithms and the ability to recover data from encrypted files.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments and extracting evidence from cloud services.
- Experience in conducting incident response activities and post-incident forensics.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, attack vectors, and common vulnerabilities.
- Proficient in preparing clear, detailed, and accurate forensic reports
- Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in digital forensics investigations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Digital Forensics.
- Industry certifications in digital forensics (e.g., CFCI, CFE, FECE).
- Minimum of 10 years of practical experience
- Strong technical expertise
- Research and publication experience in international digital forensics topics (desirable).
- Extensive international experience in digital forensics investigations and collaboration across jurisdictions.
- In-depth knowledge of international legal frameworks.
- Proven experience in international digital forensics investigations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective teaching and interaction with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
