Pharmacist

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet customers and answer to queries made by customers.
  • Provide medications and drugs as prescribed by the doctors.
  • Manage and keep the medicine stocks.
  • Proper accounting of the pharmacy billings.
  • Provide information to patients about the medications and their method of intake and use.
  • Maintain records for controlled substances and remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
  • Maintain healthy relations and coordination with colleagues.
  • Maintain good communication and a level of respect with the patients.
  • Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
  • Listen carefully to customer to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
  • Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication.
  • Organizing the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
  • Counsel patients on dosage, possible side effects and risks associated with each medicine
  • Use HMIS computer systems to generate bill, indent medicine, stock inquiry and for other requirements.
  • Strictly follow all the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Any other job as assigned by the reporting manager.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor’s of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state pharmacist license.
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacist, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosage forms, and medication management.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
